The FDA has also evaluated TA-1-related bulk drug substances in connection with pharmacy compounding and has raised concerns, including potential immunogenicity risks for certain routes of administration. Compounded medications are not reviewed by the FDA for safety, effectiveness, or quality before they are marketed in the same way as FDA-approved drugs.
This does not mean that every compounded medication is unsafe. It means the decision deserves real medical oversight, careful sourcing, and an honest discussion of uncertainties—not casual purchasing from an unregulated peptide website.
Who should use extra caution?
TA-1 is not appropriate for everyone.
